Next Outreach: Talaingod, Davao, PH
Once an NPA stronghold, today a transforming community
The township of Talaingod was not even on the map. Cartographers and politicians chose to keep this region out of the public eye because of a very resistant arm of the communist New People's Army (NPA). For over 50 years, isolated communities, like Talaingod, had been radicalized by leftist groups resulting in heavily armed and well trained rebel forces operating guerilla-style warfare in pockets across the Philippines.
Times have changed. And while there was a need for military intervention then, today brings in a new dawn with more peaceful interventions. Next week, YWAM Ships Philippines will help bring medical, dental and gospel teams into the region. This is the first of several large scale faith-focused, humanitarian relief efforts that YWAM Ships PH will be involved with this year.
As acting Field Operations Coordinator, Lib is responsible for coordinating over 180 volunteers from uniformed and public sectors who will demonstrate the love of God through service to the communities of Talaingod - a predominanty indigenous region of over 30,000 souls.
Many obstacles remain. Please join us in prayer for this initiative.
Faith Works - a new podcast series
February 12-14, 2026
Faith Works is a limited podcast series of 18 episodes capturing powerful accounts from global mission leaders who are witnessing God actively at work in the world today. Recorded live at Mission Fest BC 2026 in Chilliwack, British Columbia, these interviews reveal how ministries are courageously sharing the love of Jesus with those genuinely seeking truth and hope - beyond political ends.
Through these honest testimonies and real-world accounts, Faith Works offers a rare glimpse into the sacrificial efforts, breakthroughs, and quiet miracles unfolding across nations. It is both a privilege and an invitation—to see the evidence, hear the stories, and be inspired by what God is doing right now.
Media Team: Strengthen our weaknesses
Our son, Christopher, introduced us to "Working Genius" - a team building tool that builds upon an acronym called "WIDGET", representing: Wonder - Invention - Discernment - Galvanization - Enablement - Tenacity.
This is a tough bit of teaching that requires brutal self-honesty and assessment. In my case, I recognize strengths in Wonder and Invention, but Lib's strengths are Discernment and Enablement. With this insight, we are left to admit to real shortcomings in Galvanizing and Tenacity. And what does that look like for RTB?
Well, on the short end of things, it means that Craig invents too many ideas that Lib discerns are impossible. But honestly, it leave us relying on God to fill in the gaps to complete the projects and articles that we are led to pursue.
Mercifully, we have been introduced to two (2) new video editors through the generous support of silent partners and initiatives, like @medialight_network. We're also seeing a growing cadre of journalists keen to produce fresh stories of what God is doing these days.
We are seriously grateful to God for the way He is leading us along this crazy path - and to you for helping to make it all possible. Let's go!
