SHORT UPDATES
- Our ES playground project is finally wrapped up. A huge blessing! The field will fully reopen after Christmas Break, but we’re grateful the major work is complete.
- This is a full and joyful week as we get ready for our All-School Christmas Program. Students and staff are practicing with so much heart.
- We’re stepping out boldly this year with a $75,000 end-of-year fundraising goal to keep Christian education accessible in Los Angeles. We’re trusting God to move in big ways.
- Staff and students are leaning into the Advent theme of peace... seeking gentle hearts, patient teamwork, and kindness as we prepare.
- Silent Auction prep is underway; families and staff are offering creative gifts and services... all to support the school.
- Secret Santa week has begun…lots of laughter and tiny mysteries in the hallways!
- December is full: rehearsals, mid-quarter updates, staff field-trip meeting, and our upcoming Staff/Volunteer Christmas Party.
- We’re grateful to be entering a sweet season as our girls return home from their universities. We’re really looking forward to having the whole family together again.
PRAYER NEEDS
- Christmas Program (this Friday): Please pray for calm hearts, joyful preparation, and a sweet spirit of peace among students, teachers, and families. Pray that everything, from rehearsals to tech to the message, glorifies Jesus.
- End-of-Year Giving Goal ($75k): We’re humbly asking God to move people’s hearts to give so we can continue offering accessible, Christ-centered education in LA. Pray for provision, generosity, and open doors... especially as churches consider where to give this season.
- Staff Strength & Peace: This week is wonderful but full. Pray for energy, patience, and encouragement for teachers and admin as they carry a lot of details.
- Construction Completion: A few areas are still under construction. Pray for safety, smooth progress, and no unexpected delays.
- Student Focus & Well-Being: As the semester winds down, please pray for students to stay steady... emotionally, academically, and socially... and to feel supported and seen.
- Family & Kids: Pray for God’s favor over our kiddos as they take finals and close out their semester/quarter. Ask the Lord to strengthen their spiritual, emotional, and physical health. Pray that they remain close to Jesus in ways that liberate and form them deeply. And please pray that our home time together is restorative, joyful, and covered in God’s peace.
- Our Marriage: We’re always grateful for prayers over our marriage. To continue stay steady, tender, and anchored in God’s poweful covenant love... strengthened by grace and guided by the Spirit.
PRAISE REPORTS
- Playground Completed! After months of waiting, the ES playground work is officially done. The kids are excited, and we’re grateful for God’s provision.
- Advent Peace in Our Community: Staff and students are practicing kindness and gentleness with one another, small moments of grace that feel like little miracles in a busy season.
- Program Preparation Moving Smoothly: Classes are practicing hard, and there’s a real sense of joy building on campus.
- Generous Hearts Emerging: Folks are already stepping up to donate creative silent auction items... tutoring hours, movie nights, and more. It’s beautiful to see the community rally.
- Returning Parking Access: The ES parking lot is usable again, which has been a surprisingly big relief for staff and parents.
- Family Joy: So grateful that our girls will be home soon. The gift of family time feels extra meaningful this year.
